Tail Wagger (Kennel/Daycare Tech)

This position is responsible for hands-on pet care. Duties include:

  • Preparing & administering food, water & medication
  • Boarding/daycare clean-up of facility (suites, laundry, sweeping, mopping, feces, bowls etc.)
  • Canine socialization and playgroups. Ensure safety of all dogs being able to recognize signs of changing temperaments and/or aggressive behavior and intervene prior to and/or during scuffles
  • Courteous customer interactions. This includes meeting/greeting customers when appropriate, pet handling and transitioning back to owners
  • Observing all dogs for signs of sickness or injury and reporting to manager on duty
  • Other projects & duties as assigned

Successful candidates for this role possess:

  • Love of animals
  • Comfort and familiarity with all (large & small) dog breeds
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Courteous & professional demeanor (tattoos & piercings OK)
  • Team player!
  • Prior dog handling experience is NOT REQUIRED, we will train the right person
  • Ability to be on your feet for 4+ hours, able to lift 25lbs

Hours: As-needed basis, 0-22 hours per week. Schedule is set on a weekly basis. Hours brackets are as follows:

Sunday: 7am-9am

Monday-Friday: 9am-12pm

Potential for additional hours in the future if desired.
